What a strange mystery, life is...
Full of chaos and randomness,
making you do things, you know
you are gonna regret, but still
you do it for that undying hope
that may be, what if...
she was the one who was meant to be.
You meet her on an off chance,
on a piece of home soil,
surrounded by foreign lands.
You feel attracted, for she is
a lovely lady, with a killer smile,
but you have to let her go, for she
is a stranger, never to be met again.
But the life is a cruel bitch,
doesn't let you rest in peace.
Presents you an opportunity,
you can't resist, a rendezvous with
her,
surrounded by the pristine nature;
leaving a romantic like you with
nothing
but to chase after the flying bird.
Just when you decide to give up, and
return to your quiet loneliness,
it pounces on you, leaving you unaware,
embracing you with her warmth and
charm;
leaving no time for you to realize,
that you are caught in the wicked web
of love,
with an everlasting pain to bear
without escape.
You cry, you laugh, you try very very
hard,
you pray, you beg, you pry every little
corner,
for you search for a way your heart's
desire;
for it is close enough to reach any
day,
but far enough to not be with,
everyday.
But still you persevere, for there is
hope,
that she shall be yours, one beautiful
day.
Like a true fighter, you decide to
challenge destiny,
magnifying your own skills and
strengths,
for the need to grab way through the
Lion's mouth,
since she is a Princess, not
easily impressed.
You win the opening battle, bring
laurels home,
but for your own undoing, even your best lacked
teeth to win the prized jewel, you so
desired.
With failure already upon you, and no foreseeable future,
a wise man would have a given up his
arms,
but love is no wise man's game, its a
fool's errand,
and cannot be done away with, at one's
command.
You rise from ashes, for the hope still
kindles
with the damsel awaiting your arrival,
and hence
you must fight again for the war is still to be won.
In spite of all odds, as you struggle on,
finding happiness in little things of
life,
making wonders after wonders to garner her
smile;
when suddenly your hill of cards come
falling down,
when you hear the truth you so fear, from her sweet mouth,
“Forget me and move on. Seek greener pastures, my Prince.”,
for nothing is more painful to lose the
everlasting hope,
that one day, she will be yours and you
will be hers,
and together you both shall live happily
ever after.
